The Domaine Faiveley vineyard is situated on well-exposed slopes, where the clay-limestone soil perfectly complements the Pinot Noir grape. The vines, averaging 30 years old, benefit from optimal sunshine, allowing for harmonious ripening of the grapes. Vineyard work is meticulous, combining respect for the environment with modern techniques. Biodiversity is preserved through sustainable practices, ensuring the health of both the soil and the vines. This exceptional terroir, combined with a temperate climate, offers ideal conditions for producing high-quality wines.

Owner and history

Domaine Faiveley is now managed by the seventh generation of the Faiveley family, with Erwan Faiveley at the helm. Under his leadership, the estate continues its pursuit of excellence, blending tradition and modernity. The family is committed to preserving its heritage while innovating in winemaking practices. Each family member actively participates in the management of the estate, ensuring the quality of the wines and the long-term health of the vines. Their passion for Burgundy and its terroir is evident in every bottle produced.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine Faiveley is carried out with deep respect for Burgundian traditions. The grapes are harvested by hand, then destemmed and gently crushed. Fermentation takes place in wooden vats, promoting a gentle extraction of aromas. Aging lasts approximately 12 to 14 months in oak barrels, some of which are new, giving the wine aromatic complexity while preserving the purity of the fruit. The blends are carefully crafted to ensure the balance and harmony of the cuvées, allowing the full richness of the terroir to be expressed.
