Tormaresca

The Tormaresca vineyard is not limited to a single location, but to two distinct estates that exploit the two very different faces of this region:

Tenuta Bocca di Lupo (Minervino Murge)

Located within the appellation Castel del Monte DOC, This domaine is the "noble" and structured heart of Tormaresca.

• Terroir: At approximately 250 meters altitude, on the Murgia plateau. The soil is poor, composed of rocky limestone and tufa, which naturally limits yields.

• Climat : The temperature variations between day and night are marked, promoting aromatic complexity.

• Grape varieties: The main crop grown there is...Aglianicobut also the Fiano, THE Chardonnay and the Cabernet Sauvignon.

• The Lighthouse Wine: Bocca di Lupo (Aglianico), a powerful and deep red, often compared to the great wines of Piedmont or Tuscany for its structure.

Masseria Maìme (San Pietro Vernotico)

Located in the Salento, the heel of the boot, this domaine represents the sunny and maritime side of Puglia.

• Terroir: The vineyard covers 500 hectares (350 of which are planted with vines) along the Adriatic coast. The soils here are... red soils (clayey-sandy on limestone base).

• Climat : Very hot and dry, but tempered by constant sea breezes which prevent the grapes from "cooking" on the vine.

• Grape varieties: This is the kingdom of Primitivo and of the NegroamaroSyrah and Cabernet are also found there.

• The Lighthouse Wine: Torcicoda (100% Primitivo), an opulent wine, bursting with black fruit and velvet, or the Fichimori(Negroamaro), an innovative red wine designed to be drunk chilled.

Tormaresca was the first domaine Puglia to practice "high-precision" viticulture. By combining the climat generous from the south with the historical know-how of Antinori, They have succeeded in producing wines that are both accessible(Calafuria or Neprica ranges) and capable of competing with the world's finest wines (Bocca di Lupo).
