The vineyard of Château Bélair-Monange The vineyards extend across clay-limestone soils, offering optimal drainage and excellent water retention. The vines, some several decades old, are rooted in a terroir that imparts complexity and unique character to the wine. Careful plot management and sustainable farming practices preserve the health of the vines while maximizing the expression of the terroir. Each harvest is carried out by hand, guaranteeing the selection of the finest grapes for the production of the wines.

Owner and history

Currently, the Château Bélair-Monange is run by the de Boüard de Laforest family, who have breathed new life into the domaine. Their passion for winemaking and their commitment to quality are evident in every bottle. They continue the legacy of excellence left by previous generations, while incorporating sustainable and innovative practices. The family strives to maintain a holistic approach to winemaking, respecting both the terroir and the environment, in order to produce wines that tell a story and awaken the senses.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Bélair-Monange The winemaking process takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing for precise control of fermentation. The grapes are destemmed and gently crushed to preserve the integrity of the berries. After careful maceration, the wine is aged in oak barrels, some of which are new, for approximately 12 to 18 months. This aging process adds further complexity while respecting the fruit.
