Description

The 2022 "Meursault du Château" cuvée is the very emblem of Château de Meursault . Unlike a single-vineyard selection, this cuvée is a strategic blend of several parcels located within the Meursault appellation (including climats such as Les Casse-Têtes , Les Vireuils, and Les Meix Chavaux ).

The 2022 vintage is hailed in Burgundy as a year of fullness, offering ripe, sunny wines, but with remarkable balance.

Notes and pairings

Tasting notes

Owner and history

Our vineyard is located in the Côte de Beaune, on the magnificent terroirs of Meursault, as well as Pommard, Puligny-Montrachet de Beaune, and the Corton hill. In Meursault, the château, the orangery, the walled vineyard, and the park form a vast 10-hectare estate, now focused on biodiversity and sustainable development.

Vinification and aging

The grapes from the 5 plots are pressed, vinified and aged separately to express each terroir. After manual sorting, pressing and settling, alcoholic fermentation takes place in barrels for 15 days, then the wine is aged on its lees for 12 to 15 months.

The team's opinion

This Meursault from the Château is a blend of five parcels from the Meursault appellation. It has a deep, brilliant golden color. Its nose is profound and reveals refined oak aging. It displays a lovely volume on the palate and a smooth finish.
