94-95 points/100 James Suckling : "Remarkable density and structure for the vintage. Delicious aromas of black fruit and salted olives, with hints of oyster shell and black licorice. Fine, almost powdery but firm tannins.."
THE Château Palmer, located in the heart of the appellation Margaux on the left bank of the Médoc, is recognized among the most prestigious Third Growth Classified in 1855. With a deeply respectful approach to life, the domaine is committed to biodynamic farming across its entire vineyard. Alter Ego, created in 1998, is the second vin of Château, but it establishes itself as a distinct cuvée, with a more immediate and accessible style. It reveals the vibrancy of the fruit, while retaining the finesse and elegance emblematic of great wines. Margaux.

The team's opinion
THE Château Palmer - Alter Ego 2021 reflects the precision of biodynamic work on a cool, classic, and demanding vintage in Bordeaux. Where other properties suffered from the cool and wet weather conditions of 2021, Thomas Duroux's team took advantage of the responsiveness of their fine gravel soils to produce a cuvée of great aromatic purity, very focused on tension and delicacy.
