The 2022 Monte Mare Rouge vintage boasts a bright, clear ruby ​​color. The nose is delicate, offering a bouquet of fresh red fruit, violet, and maquis herbs. On the palate, the attack is supple and ethereal, carried by a natural acidity that lends it freshness. The structure is fine, the tannins well-integrated, and the finish lingers elegantly with floral and slightly spicy notes, typical of the Corsican terroir.

Jean-Charles Abbatucci now manages the family estate with passion and conviction. Heir to a long Corsican lineage, he has revived forgotten grape varieties while embracing biodynamic principles. Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine Comte Abbatucci is based on a gentle and natural approach: manual harvesting, spontaneous fermentations and very delicate extraction.
Monte Mare 2022 is vinified in stainless steel tanks to preserve the integrity of the fruit and the freshness of the juice. A short aging period in tanks allows the wine to retain all its energy, without any artificial enhancement, thus revealing a sincere and spontaneous interpretation of the Corsican terroir.
