The Casa Lapostolle vineyard stretches across the sunny hills of the Colchagua Valley, where the clay-limestone soils are ideal for cultivating quality grape varieties. The diversity of the terroirs, combined with a Mediterranean climate, creates optimal conditions for grape ripening. The vines, many of them several years old, receive meticulous care, with each plot cultivated to reveal its full potential. Controlled irrigation and environmentally friendly practices ensure healthy, concentrated grapes, guaranteeing exceptional wines.

    Owner and history

Today, Casa Lapostolle is run by the Lapostolle family, who continue to embody the spirit of innovation and respect for winemaking traditions. Alexandra Marnier-Lapostolle, a member of the family and passionate about oenology, ensures the quality and authenticity of the estate's wines. Under her leadership, Casa Lapostolle has established itself on the international stage, winning numerous awards. The family's commitment to sustainable and environmentally responsible viticulture is central to their philosophy, thus guaranteeing the future of this exceptional estate.

    Vinification and aging

The winemaking process at Clos Apalta is meticulous, blending tradition and innovation. The grapes, carefully selected by hand, are vinified separately according to their varietal. After cold maceration, alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels, some of which are new, for approximately 18 months. This process imparts aromatic complexity and an elegant tannic structure to the wine, while preserving the freshness and character of the Chilean terroir.
