Description

What a scale, it's a huge windmill! Seduced by its notes of sweet spices and stewed fruit. Then come ripe black fruits, violet, green pepper, and licorice. On the palate, the attack is generous, carried by a luscious and flavorful texture. The tannins, both luscious and structured, prolong this impression of balance and richness. Le Carquelin is a named vineyard site within the appellation. 4,600 bottles of this vintage were produced.

" The so-called "Burgundian" winemaking process produces wines with full yet smooth tannins, which age beautifully. RVF

Terroir : soil sandy-clay and acidic Low in organic matter. Typical pink color of the vintage. Gra altered nit at medium depths.

Vine age : avg. 50 years

Winemaking & aging : Total destemming, alcoholic fermentation by plot in temperature-controlled 50 hl concrete tanks. Then 12 months in oak barrels (72%) and demi-muids (28%), 7% of which are new. Finally, 6 months in concrete tanks. Light filtration, unfined.

Domaine Labruyère , founded in 1850 in the heart of the hamlet of Les Thorins, is one of the oldest and most emblematic estates in the Moulin-à-Vent appellation . Today, its 14 hectares include Le Clos du Moulin-à-Vent , the only monopole in the appellation. Led by Jean-Pierre Labruyère and his son Édouard, the estate has undergone a profound renewal, combining modernized facilities, meticulous vineyard management , and winemaking inspired by Burgundy . Guided by a reasoned approach that respects the terroir , the team, including Nadine Gublin and Michel Rovere, crafts deep, silky wines built for aging , revealing the full potential of Gamay on these exceptional terroirs. With cuvées such as Champ de Cour , Carquelin , and Le Clos , Domaine Labruyère is establishing itself as a rising star in Beaujolais.
